Durable Inlays & Onlays for Lasting Dental Health
Inlays and onlays are restorative treatments used to repair a tooth’s biting surface. Inlays fit inside the tooth, filling spaces between the cusps, while onlays cover the cusps or the entire biting surface for more extensive damage. These procedures are less invasive than crowns and help restore both function and appearance.

Unlike traditional fillings, which can weaken a tooth’s structure when used for larger areas, inlays and onlays offer a more durable solution. They preserve the maximum amount of healthy tooth structure while adding strength to the damaged tooth. If a tooth has significant decay but retains enough healthy structure, inlays and onlays provide an excellent alternative, avoiding the need for more invasive treatments like crowns or root canals.
Inlays & Onlays Procedure
Unlike traditional fillings which are placed in one visit, inlays and onlays typically require two visits.
First Visit: An impression of the tooth is taken and sent to a dental lab to create the custom inlay or onlay. A temporary filling will be placed on the tooth.
Second Visit: The temporary filling is removed, and the custom-made inlay or onlay is cemented into place, providing a strong and natural-looking restoration.
